Hello everyone! Thanks for the prayers. We all arrived here safely yesterday around 3 pm. Thankfully all of our flights were on time (although we did have to wait for a thunderstorm in Chicago to pass by circling in the air for an extra 30 min) and we were able to find our gates without too much trouble. The taxi ride from Alicante to Altea went smoothly and we were greeted by two other EDGE members upon our arrival. :)

Our group of four is split between two houses- one house, La Terraza, is along the main street right down by the Mediterranean Sea, and the other, Casa Fina, is at the top of approximately 300 stairs on the hillside that overlooks the Mediterranean Sea. Others that are a part of the EDGE project are living with us and that has been a tremendous blessing to have them!

So far, we have been given time to rest and have had some orientation and logistical meetings. Everyone on the team seems really awesome and I am excited to see how God uses all of our gifts together for his work here. Tonight we are going to have our first "Creative night" where we are going to begin creating work for our first gallery showing on Friday- the first of our big outreach events. The vision is for a large installation in the plaza outside the gallery with a curated show of local artists inside the gallery, El Diseno. It is going to be a wonderful community event and I can't wait :)
